We know you have questions, hopefully this answers a few of them for you

Do you travel/what areas do you service?

Yes! I am based in Fenton, but I serve couples throughout Michigan. Travel is available for weddings outside of the immediate area, and any applicable travel fees will be discussed during the inquiry process.

How much do your services cost?

Every wedding is unique, which is why I offer customizable packages based on your needs. Pricing varies depending on the level of support you're looking for. Contact me to schedule a complimentary consultation and receive a personalized quote.

Do you offer customizable packages?

Absolutely! While I offer structured planning and coordination packages, I also understand that every couple's needs are different. Additional services and enhancements can be added to create a package that best fits your wedding. Please visit our services page to find additional services we have to offer.

Do you attend the rehearsal?

Rehearsal attendance can be included depending on your package or added as an enhancement. During the rehearsal, I'll guide your wedding party through the ceremony processional and answer any last-minute questions. Additionally, I like to stick around and provide light rehearsal dinner assistance that could include clean up & breakdown as discussed.

Do you provide an emergency kit?

Yes! My emergency kit includes many commonly needed wedding-day items such as safety pins, stain remover, fashion tape, sewing supplies, tissues, pain relievers, hair ties, bobby pins, deodorant, bandages, snacks, and other helpful essentials. The exact contents may vary, but the goal is to be prepared for those little surprises that can happen throughout the day.

Can you coordinate cultural or non-traditional weddings?

Yes! I love working with couples to create a celebration that reflects their unique traditions, values, and vision. Whether your wedding includes cultural customs, multiple ceremonies, non-traditional timelines, or personalized elements, I'm happy to learn what's important to you and coordinate accordingly.

Are you insured?

Professional liability insurance is available and can be provided if required by your venue. I'm happy to discuss any venue-specific requirements during the planning process.

Do I really need a coordinator if I've already planned everything?

Answer: “Even couples who have planned every detail often realize they don't want to spend their wedding day managing vendors, answering questions, checking the timeline, and solving problems. My role is to take over the logistics so you can be fully present and enjoy the day you worked so hard to create.”

How does the booking process work?

The process begins with a complimentary consultation where we'll discuss your wedding, your vision, and the level of support you're looking for. Once you're ready to move forward, a signed contract and retainer payment will officially reserve your wedding date.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! To make planning easier, I offer flexible payment schedules. Most couples secure their date with a retainer and complete remaining payments according to their contract timeline.

What makes Sammie Mae Event Co. different?

At Sammie Mae Event Co., I believe wedding planning should feel personal, supportive, and stress-free. As a small business owner, wife, and mom, I understand how meaningful life's biggest moments are. My goal is to provide every couple with genuine support, thoughtful guidance, and a wedding day that feels effortless and true to them.

What's the difference between a venue coordinator and a wedding coordinator?

This is one of the most common questions I receive! A venue coordinator focuses on the venue itself: access times, venue policies, staff coordination, catering logistics, and venue-specific operations. A wedding coordinator focuses on the entire wedding: managing the timeline, coordinating vendors, directing the wedding party, overseeing setup details, handling unexpected issues, and making sure your vision is executed smoothly. Both roles are valuable, but they serve different purposes. Think of a venue coordinator as the venue’s representative and a wedding coordinator as your personal advocate and logistical partner.

Can you help with vendor recommendations?

Absolutely! I work with many talented wedding professionals and am happy to provide recommendations based on your style, budget, and priorities. While I can offer suggestions, the final vendor selection is always completely up to you.

How far in advance should I book my wedding coordinator?

I recommend booking as soon as you know you’d like professional support, especially for popular spring, summer, and fall dates. Many couples book 9–18 months in advance, and some peak weekends fill even earlier. If your wedding is approaching sooner, it’s still worth reaching out—I may have availability.
